Pickett's Charge

We are issued our marching orders.

We march in order.

The barn where Pickett stopped (him, not his men - officer's privileges you know).

Same barn through same fence. I couldn't decide if I liked mine (first one) or Emma's (this one) better.

Storm clouds gather overhead...

...and we charge back in time.

Suddenly, out of the blue, this guy joined the charge.

A sword-less Armistead; at least he had the hat.

No offense but I think I like Emma's better :) The lines in yours are very strong but also rather distracting since they go so many different directions. Emma's, on the other hand, has strong lines as well but they provide a strong frame for the barn while still giving the sense of a long fence that stretches on forever.

There you go, Emma. :-) Remember you were saying that we should each pick out a Gettysburg picture and let Josiah judge. Well, this is probably as close as we will come to ever doing it. I even picked your picture out for you and you still won. ;-)

Nope, not offended, Josiah. I rather hoped you'd volunteer which one you like better.

Thanks, Gloria. (I believe in using people's full name, even if they don't. jk ;-)

"I even picked your picture out for you and you still won." Wait, is that a good or a bad thing?

I am greatly honored by your consideration of my photographic judging skills, if you have any more for me to judge I would be happy to oblige. :)
