I'm Not the Only One Who Takes Pictures

Though I did take this one. Doesn't it look like it could be the magical entrance to a fantasy world. The Land of Enchanted Meadow for example. :-)

Like I said, I'm not the only one who takes photos. Sometimes Candace chimes in with a picture or two.

Conrad prefers to focus on the smaller things of life, namely the microscopic.

The World of Dust Bunnies

Yeah... she does have a little to learn about photography yet. :-)

But then, don't we all?

God bless your fortnight.

Thanks, you two.
Josiah, I'm not sure how this photo would stand up to being printed in 5x7 size, much as I wish it would. :-)

Carmen, you have now caused an envy problem in me. I wanted so badly to have a picture like the top one but for some reason just didn't manage this winter. I envy you. :D

In all seriousness, the picture is really quite beautiful. I like how you focused on the atmosphere effect with the sun coming through the snow, I assume this is at sunrise? My main critique would be that the tree trunks are too far into the image. Turning the camera a little bit more to the right to pout the trunks right at the edge of the frame would have improved this picture.

If you print this at full-rez I think a 5x7 would actually come out quite nicely since your camera has so many megapixels to compress into the print.

I really like your shot Candace, the DOF is really quite beautiful with the lighting being anything but bland. I think shifting the composition to the right would also improve this image as the subject is a little bit to close to the center for a truly dynamic image.

Josiah. You shouldn't envy me, not with all those beautiful photos on your photo a day blog. Why you even have Photoshop... and some awesome lenses... not to mention a flash unit... WHOOPS, I'm starting to sound envious myself. ;-)

Yes, it is at sunrise. Also, I agree with your critique, though I have to wonder: "Would you have crawled through the electric fence to get the right angle?" :-)

I guess the only way to find out is to print it.

Sylvia, I'm glad you like it.
