I defy C.S. Lewis's opinion that "Tea should be taken in solitude," and suggest that there are few better people to drink it with than my grandmother and cousins.(Of course, his grandmother and cousins may not have been so nice.)

So my question is this... were you truly proper by taking cream with your tea? AND if so, HOW did you take the cream with your tea? :) Now I shall know if you are truly English or not!! :)

You're not going to like this. Candace and I cannot even remember if there was cream, AND, if there had been, HOW we should have taken it. Next time I come, you'll need to give me more than a piano lesson, I'm afraid.

I too am proud to be an American-- However, I will give you the insite on the true and proper way to take "tea and cream". One must FIRST put the cream/milk in the cup ... then add the tea! :) It's actually quite nice and I usually do it this way! :) Enjoy your tea~ today is great day for a spot of it! :)
