Biking - what we supposedly came to do.

The low-water mark of our bike trip.

If life were a bike ride...

...Conrad and I would be strangers...

...Candace and I would only run in to each other occasionally...

...and Dad would be asleep on the first bench.

Which is why we have family reunions from time to time.

Howdy, Brother, it's been miles since I saw you.

The rattlesnakes on the road of life... just run over them like we did.

(We didn't do it on purpose, and as you can see it looks okay yet.)

A Little Brown Church in the Wildwood
We're looking at something. Well, that's obvious, you say. It's something bigger and better than a rattlesnake...

I know it's pretty sorry,
But, hey! it is a bear!
Won't you kindly just forbear,
E'en if the quality ain't so fair.

Amazing what can be found on a walk through the woods (if you take your imagination with you). Here we found the Stone Table.

We ran across Mr. Toad too (he did survive, just like the rattlesnake).

The Terrorist "I'm comin' to get you!"

And the Terrified.

Mercy and Clayton debate the pros and cons of Clayton sharing his crackers.

Well, the pros won that time.

The History of Aviation (In Our Family)

Flight - It has been tried before; it has been failed before.

Even so, it is going to be tried again. The question is: Will it fail again?

Christian earns his wings. ;-)

*Charity shuts her eyes in anticipation of the big moment* "one - Two - THREE..."

...and we have a lift off!

...Or do we???

Poor guy, I couldn't help feeling sorry for him. He was so sure it was going to work.

Clayton fires up his engines.

We go on a little excursion to...

...a big store. Can you guess?

Yes, for better or for worse, we went to Cabela's.

I'm afraid we made a big moostake coming here.

It looks like it could be beary dangerous.

Wildlife: It's what we looked at all day, but probably not what you want to look at all day. So we'll just get it all over with now.

But that doesn't mean that you won't have to look at us looking at the wildlife.

A dear among deer.
(This was taken in the deer room, hence the caption.)

Abigail contemplates... ... You'll have to let us know what, Abigail.

That's a cheater's rack, Isaac. Go shoot your own. :-)

"Exclusive!" At that price, I should think it's exclusive! It excludes us, that's for sure.

"As Advertised"... Maybe as advertised to the rich. Candace you have mighty expensive taste.

"Pre-owned" looks a little more like our price range. Not that I'm planning to buy a gun or anything...

Of course, we went in! What do you take us for? After all, we are Martins, Einwechters, Raines, and Eashes, aren't we? And don't we just love a good bargain?

They have an amazing amount of clothes that have nothing to do with outdoor living - more than we bargained for.

Karen tries to find the ever-elusive bargain.

Candace takes one last longing look at an exclusive skirt.
Lunch was a grim affair...

...regardless if it was carrots or...

...sugar wafers.

Something wrong with your lunch too, Karen? :-)

Back inside, we found some pretty graphic nightlights.

Candace and Emma found just the thing to take with them when they go out to feed their chickens. ;-)

What's this? A bargain box maybe?

We tried. We searched that whole store, but we finally just had to leave. They didn't have any bargains good enough for us. But, of course, I'm forgetting. We did get in free to see the wildlife, which is what we went for right? And at a zoo there's a fee. So... :)

Wisdom Resources "Grand" Opening

Dad ceremoniously hangs the sign...

...as the crowds cheer.

Poor Conrad - never thought it would actually happen - had to stand there and stare for a long time before it finally sunk in.

Mom's loyal cousins - our first customers.

As a side note: This is the first photo on this blog taken by our new SLR camera.

If you bring your child to our store, you had better bring some money too, because, if you want to take your child home again, you may need to take some of our toys home too. :-)

"Carmen, how much does this one cost?"
And I had to tell them. It was just a bit out of their price range.

God Bless your week and Happy Thanksgiving.
