The setting: Dad and Mr. Oberholtzer are talking when they see, out of the corner of their eyes, Mr. Raine sidling up with his cart of golf clubs.
"I don't know about you, Gary, but I'm getting out of here!"
Dad gradually succumbs to temptation.
As Dad scratches his head over his first lesson...
...Mr. Oberholtzer looks on from a distance.
Mr. Raine looks; he can't believe his eyes. "The ball... it's gone. He ACTUALLY hit it!!"
